Enclosed cargo trailers: common questions

What is the difference between a wedge front and a flat front enclosed trailer?

Flatlander Trailer Sales carries Sure-Trac and Haul-About enclosed cargo trailers, and the front shape is one of the first choices you make. A wedge or V-nose front cuts wind drag and adds a little storage up front. A flat front gives you the most usable box length for the money. Both tow well behind a properly rated vehicle.

Should I get a ramp door or barn doors on an enclosed cargo trailer?

The enclosed trailers on the Flatlander Trailer Sales lots right now come with ramp doors. A ramp door lets you roll mowers, ATVs and carts straight in, while barn doors swing open for forklift or dock loading and leave the floor clear. If you need barn doors, we can check what the brands we carry can build.

Request one on our order page, or call or text (217) 673-0773.

Can Flatlander Trailer Sales service my trailer after I buy it?

Yes, Flatlander Trailer Sales keeps servicing your trailer after the sale at our Franklin shop, 117 Mill St, an authorized service center for the brands we sell. The shop handles brakes, axles and bearings, wiring and lights, tires, welding, hitch installs and safety inspections, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
